Original Beautiful Edwardian Walking Hat - Cream

Original beautiful Edwardian Walking hat in  cream.  A divine piece of history c1910.  Weaved, slightly open, not tight weave, with a 3” crown depth.  A very careful pleat detail to the crown adds to its simplicity and elegance. A silk band around the crown which loops through to form an internal head/hair band for secure fitting. “Edith Poole” South Molton - American label.  
Ooooh if this beauty could talk, the stories it would tell. The travels, the ocean liners, the steam boats. 
Large brim, with overall diameter of 17” nicely holds with no floppiness. Sits slightly on a 22 head so maybe 22.5 or 23 more suitable. No breaks in weave. 
A treasure to own and wear for sure.

Good Vintage Condition - flaws to note : slight marking to silk band ( this is tacked on and maybe able to be removed and soaked ) however, the marks do not detract from such a great piece of history.
