Original 1930’s Stunning Rust and Lame Bias Cut Gown - Festival of Vintage Fashion Show Exclusive

           

One of the pieces from our curated collection for the fashion show ‘ A look into 1930’s Fashions ‘ exclusive to the Festival of Vintage, York we present this phenomenal 1930’s lame gown in rust with gold threads. The epitome of its era and oozing Old Hollywood Glamour vibes this gown features a sweeping neckline to the bodice, fabulous innovative shaped shoulder detailing, a low v back shaping, an exquisite matching belt with amazing construction and all sweeping into a fabulous shaped skirt and train all cut on the bias. A dress you can imagine Ginger Rogers waiting for a dance with Fred Astaire in a Black and White film. 

A phenomenal piece, and a pleasure to own such a museum worthy piece. Would look fabulous as an evening wedding dress or a showstopper for an evening soirée.

This particular fabric has stretch so there is room for a little more on these measurements we would suggest only a 2’ max to ensure it doesn’t ruin the shape when worn.

 Good Vintage Condition considering this item is nearing 100 years old. Flaws to note - Discolouration to the v shaping at the back and a little under the arms. Otherwise fabulous condition. Ready to wear.
