Original 1940's Sensational Gaberdine Cape - In A Soft Beige

 

Vintage 1940's sensational gaberdine cape in a soft beige. This piece is a divine example from the Hollywood glamour era and was made by ' Penn- Fifth Avenue, New York'. She has the most exquisite silhouette and features a strong shoulder line enhanced by shoulder pads, sharp spearpoint collar finished with an ornamental fastening. The piece features a beautiful yoke detailing to the front and back nape and has an exquisite sweep with so much movement. The cape looks beautiful layered over the top of dresses or suits for an extra layer without wearing a coat. Please see the condition report below.

Fair Vintage Condition, flaws to note - Slight marks in places which may lift with a spot treatment or dry clean. Some nibbles to the back yoke on one shoulder, we have left these but they could be patched and darned using fabric from the inside of the cape. This piece still presents beautifully and can be worn as is.
