Original 1940's Sensational Woollen Crepe Coat - In Powdered Grey With Crewelwork Details

           

Vintage 1940's sensational woollen crepe coat in powdered grey with crewel work details. A divine example from the era this piece really showcases the classic silhouette and simplistic stylised details that the era is so well known for. The coat is made from a beautiful lightweight woollen crepe which drapes beautifully in a soft powdered grey. The coat is edge to edge in silhouette with a half belt fitted to the front which can be tied or left open. It has a central press stud fastening to close at the waist and has 2 pockets. To the yoke the piece shares its stunning detailing which depictes 2 bows in a crewel work embellishment in grey and a soft duck egg. Enchanting in construction and visual these really add a delicateness to the piece. This coat looks great worn layered over the top of dresses, blouses and slacks or even suits.

Good Vintage Condition, flaws to note -  Overall light fading throughout and a few nibbles. Some light marks to the internal lining. These flaws do not detract from the look or wearability of the piece. It presents beautifully and is ready to wear.
