Original 1940's Sublime Two Tone Crepe Dress With Illusion Cape - In Contrast Airforce & Powder Blue

           

Vintage 1940's sublime two tone crepe dress with illusion cape in contrast airforce and powder blues. This piece is one of those garments that just makes your heart sing, a piece that brings all of the emotion of the era to its forefront. This dress oozes the classic wartime glamour of the period. It shares a classic 1940's silhouette and features a v neck front with illusion style overlay in contrast two tone crepe. It has a 3/4 length sleeve. It fastens to the front with 1 working button and 1 decorative button and a side metal zip fastening. It pulls in at the waist with a matching belt. The skirt has a stitched panel with a half pleated section creating the illusion of an almost hip swag. The skirt has lots of movement to it. The shoulder line is enhanced by internal shoulder pads which create that added definition to the silhouette. It features a ' Habern Frocks' label to the nape. 

This is a simply divine piece and looks great styled for both day and evening occasions with varying accessories and layers. A wonderful addition to any 1930's or 1940's wearers collection. Very Good Vintage Condition, flaws to note - Light marks to some of the crepe on the bodice and trim, a couple of tiny snags to the crepe. These flaws do not detract from  the wearability or look of the piece. It presents beautifully and is ready to wear.
