Original 1940's Stunning Gaberdine Coat - In A Warm Chocolate Brown

           

Vintage 1940's stunning gaberdine coat in a warm chocolate brown. This is a sensational piece of wartime fashion history and is a great staple piece for any 1940's lover and wearer. It has a classic and timeless 1940's silhouette and features a pointed collar, double breasted front bodice and a long sleeve with turn back cuff. It gathers in at the waist with a fixed in place belt which fastens to the front. The coat has a sweeping skirt with addition pleating to the front which adds a lovely detail. This is great worn both open to display an ensemble underneath or looks equally as fabulous worn done up. It is fully lined with an additional internal tie and has a ' Marlbeck' makers label. The silhouette is enhanced by built in shoulder pads and has handy pockets. The most eye catching part of this piece is the quirky buttons.

Very Good Vintage Condition, flaws to note - Some light discolouration to the inside of the nape of the coat, a couple of marks to the lining. Some light wear to the belt buckle. These flaws do not detract from the look or wearability of the piece. It presents beautifully and is ready to wear.
