Original 1930's Darling Cotton Lawn Dress - In A Brown & White Polka Dot

           

Vintage 1930's darling cotton lawn dress in a brown & white polka dot. This is an exquisite example from the era and showcases lots of deco detailing. It shares a classic 1930's daywear silhouette with peter pan collar trimmed in crochet, a bow adornment to the centre of the collar hiding a press stud fastening, faux button front, bodice crochet trim faux pocket detailing and short puff sleeve with matching crochet trim to the hem. At the waistline the dress features a matching belt with buckle which emphasizes the waist which then falls into a light flutter skirt with panels and a couple of small pleats. The dress fastens with a couple of press studs to the top of the bodice and to the side. Petite in measurements this piece would suit roughly a UK 8 but please refer to laid flat measurements below. Truly a sensational piece in both colouring, details and silhouette. It is designed to be worn with a light silk or cotton slip underneath. 

A stunning addition to any 1930's wearers collection for a summers picnic, day out strolling or social events. A lovely treat to yourself, friend or loved one.

Very Good Vintage Condition, flaws to note - 1 small hole to the back of the skirt. Some light wear as expected with age. These flaws do not detract from the wearability of the piece. It presents beautifully and is ready to wear.
