Original Late 1940's Early 1950's Beautiful Lightweight Coat - In Deep Oatmeal Linen With Black Velvet Trim

           

Vintage late 1940's early 1950's beautiful lightweight coat in a deep oatmeal linen with black velvet trim. This is a stunning example from the era and most definitely styled on an earlier garment with details from earlier 1910 pieces. This piece has a stunning silhouette and drapes with a sensational swing. It features a rounded collar with contrast black velvet trim, 3/4 dolma shaped sleeve with deep turn back cuffs in the matching black velvet with v cutworks. Double breasted button detailing to the bodice. The back has as much pazazz as the front of the garment and the collar at the nape shapes to a point which then showcases the amazing sweep in the swing of the garment. This piece looks great worn as is over the top of layers or worn open draped over the top of suits or dresses for added drama to the ensemble. 

A fabulous addition to any 1940's or 1950's wearers collection. It's such a versatile piece that can be styled in a more period or modern way right from the 1900 period through to modern day. A lovely treat to yourself, friend or loved one.
