Original 1940's Sublime 2pc Summer Suit by ' New York Creations' - In A Primrose Yellow & Warm Brown Polka Dot

           

Vintage 1940's sublime 2pc American summer suit by ' New York Creations' in the most fabulous color combination of primrose yellow and warm brown polka dots. The suit is made of a lightweight linen mix, perfect for the spring and summer months. This suit has the most divine details and features a  pointed collar, shoulder detailing, faux pockets, 3 button fastening front and long sleeves.  The skirt is a simple a line shape with a pleat to the front and side button fastening. Can be worn as a 2 pc or look equally as fabulous worn as separates to create varying ensembles. Please see condition report below for flaws but very wearable as is. 

A divine piece of fashion history to add to any 1930's or 1940's loving ladies collection. A treat to yourself, friend or loved one.

Good vintage condition, flaws to note  - There are a few old repairs to this piece, some nibbles, 1 small patched hole to the back. There are several marks throughout which do blend in with the polka dot pattern. Some wear to the buttons to the Jacket. Some fading to the inner collar. We think the suit would benefit from having a shoulder pad sewn into the shoulder seams for added structure. The suit still presents beautifully despite the flaws with age and is ready to wear.
