Original 1930's Divine Silk Velvet Evening Gown - With Exquisite Pleated Details and Art Deco Buckle

           

Vintage 1930's divine silk velvet evening gown with exquisite pleated details and art deco buckle. This piece has an iconic 1930's silhouette and is cut on the bias which creates a beautiful movement and effortless style. The evening gown features a cowl neckline, strong shoulders with upright vertical pleating, phenomenal double shaped gathered sleeves which tighten to the wrist and are finished to a deco point, the gown cinches in at the waist with a matching belt and marquesite buckle, the gown pools to the floor on the bias and features beautiful raised pleated velvet hand stitched on in a crossover shaping which adds an exquisite detailing. The epitome of its era and a classic evening gown for effortless 30's styling. 

A must have piece for any 1930's wearer or collectors wardrobe. A lovely treat to yourself, friend or loved one.

Good Vintage Condition, flaws to note - A couple of tiny pinholes to the hem. Some rough seam work to the sleeve elbow to wrist seam which could be re done if desired. The belt currently sits at 32' but could be made smaller if desired. As the gown is bias cut it can accommodate different sizing. This piece presents beautifully and is ready to wear.
