Original 1940’s SHOWSTOPPING Black Platter Hat - With Coloured Stud Work Detailing & Veiling

Vintage 1940’s showstopping black platter hat with stunning coloured stud work and veiling adornment. This piece is American in Origin and features a ‘ Merrimac Hat Corp ‘ label stamped as a size 22’ head. The overall diameter is 14’ creating a fabulous statement piece, great worn with suits, dresses or other ensembles. 

A must have addition to any 1940’s or 1950’s wearers collection for a statement piece.

Very good Vintage Condition, flaws to note - Some breaks to the veiling in parts and some slight tarnishing to some of the stud work. These do not detract from the wearability of the piece it presents beautifully. Ready to wear.
